Hot dip galvanising is the process of applying a protective sacrificial zinc coating over steel to prevent rusting. The turnstile components are treated in a chemical pre-treatment tank and are then dipped in a bath of molten zinc. The zinc forms a coating which prevents corrosive substances from reaching the metal and protects the underlying substrate. Turnstar industrial turnstiles are available in a number of different finishes. A powder coated finish is suitable for inland installations and interior coastal installations. When corrosion is an issue, we recommend a hot dip galvanised finish.
