We recently held a customer demonstration in which we showed the strength of the glass used in all Turnstar TRITON turnstiles and ATLAS revolving doors. Turnstar uses toughened glass of various thicknesses, 6mm up to 12mm, in a number of products. Shown in the photograph below, you can see a Hummer (Like no other!) parked on top of a 2.1m long curved piece of glass. The glass only deflects slightly under the weight, but does not break and if broken will shatter into very small pieces, ensuring the safety of the pedestrian in the turnstile or revolving door.
