Turnstar recently completed a major stadium access control project at the iconic Kings Park Stadium in Durban, home to world class rugby and large scale entertainment events.
To manage the high volume flow of spectators efficiently and securely, 43 Trident single turnstiles in 304 grade brushed stainless steel were supplied and installed across all major entrances to the venue. The Trident turnstile is Turnstar’s flagship waist height model, engineered for reliability, durability, and fast pedestrian throughput, making it ideal for stadium applications.
Each turnstile was fully integrated with the stadium’s ticketing partner’s scanning equipment, ensuring seamless verification of both physical and digital tickets. The integration allows for rapid entry while maintaining strict access control, essential for safety, fraud prevention, and operational flow on event days.
Built to withstand the rigours of outdoor installation, the stainless steel finish ensures long term resistance to corrosionand harsh coastal conditions common to Durban. The Trident’s modular design also supports easy service access, contributing to reduced maintenance and maximum uptime.
