Wits, Johannesburg’s primary institution of tertiary higher learning, recently purchased over 30 Velocity Traffic barriers. The barriers are installed at various entrances throughout the campus and are part of a roll out of a further 70 barriers which are due to be replaced by the Velocity. The Velocity is ideal for Wits as it offers an exceptionally high operating speed, ensuring that traffic congestion is kept at a minimum. Also, the Velocity is fitted with battery backup which ensures that during a power failure, uninterrupted operation is guaranteed.
