Stoncor’s factory and head office, based in Midrand South Africa, was recently upgraded and fitted with Turnstar pedestrian and vehicle access control products. For the pedestrian entrance, Turnstar manufactured and supplied a 4-arm Triumph single industrial turnstile. Velocity for University of Joannesburg
The Velocity traffic barrier is now the standard boom barrier for the University of Johannesburg. The barriers were manufactured from 3Cr12 stainless steel, powder coated in the corporate orange and white colours of the university. Certain barriers in areas with height restriction were fitted with a space saving under arm jack knife kit.
Avon Woodmead
Makeup and beauty product giant, Avon, recently installed a Turnstar TITAN 4 full height industrial turnstile for pedestrian access control into their JHB head office. For vehicle access, three VELOCITY traffic barriers with 3m pole were installed. The Velocity boomgates were powder coated black to match the overall aesthetic of the guardhouse.

Turnstar manufactures a full range of turnstiles which can be combined with Turnstar’s multiple coin acceptor. The coin acceptor can be set to any amount and for any currency. An internal counter with reset key switch is also supplied as standard in order for the operator to carry out a financial audit.
Traffic Master BLDC for KosherWorld
Turnstar recently manufactured and installed three BLDC Traffic Master vehicle barriers for the KosherWorld supermarket, in Glenhazel, Johannesburg. The barriers were fitted with battery backup for up to 1500 operations when there is no power and were also connected to various safety devices including loop detectors and photocell sensors.
